Enabling Secure Socket Layers (SSL) for Primerica Shareholder Services


Enabling SSL on Microsoft® Internet Explorer 4.x

  1. Click Start, select Settings and Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Security section.
  5. Click to check mark the boxes for SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0.
    NOTE: If these boxes are already checked, close the window to leave SSL enabled, or click to remove the checkmark if you want to disable SSL.
  6. Click OK.

  1. Click Security on the browser toolbar on the Netscape menu bar.
  2. Click Navigator.
  3. Click to check mark the boxes for Enable SSL version 2 and Enable SSL version 3.
    NOTE: If these boxes are already checked, close the window to leave SSL enabled, or click to remove the checkmark if you want to disable SSL.
  4. Click OK.

Enabling SSL on Netscape® Communicator / Navigator 6.x

  1. Click Edit, and select Preferences on the Netscape menu bar.
  2. Double click on Privacy & Security.
  3. Click SSL. Click to check mark the boxes for Enable SSL version 2 and Enable SSL version 3.
    NOTE: If these boxes are already checked, close the window to leave SSL enabled, or click to remove the checkmark if you want to disable SSL.
  4. Click OK.

  1. Click Edit, and select Preferences on the Netscape menu bar.
  2. Double click on Privacy & Security.
  3. Click SSL.
  4. Click to check mark the boxes for Enable SSL version 2 and Enable SSL version 3..
    NOTE: If these boxes are already checked, close the window to leave SSL enabled, or click to remove the checkmark if you want to disable SSL.
  5. Click OK.

  1. Click Tools, and select Options on the Firebird/Firefox menu bar.
  2. Click on Advanced.
  3. Under Security, click to check mark the boxes for Use SSL 2.0 and Use SSL 3.0.
    NOTE: If these boxes are already checked, close the window to leave SSL enabled, or click to remove the checkmark if you want to disable SSL.
  4. Click OK.
