This Primerica Online and Primerica App Privacy Policy (this "Privacy Policy") explains the types of information we may collect from you when you use our website primericaonline.com (the "POL Website") and the Primerica App (the "PRI App") (collectively, "Primerica Online"). It also describes our practices for collecting, using and disclosing that information. What kind of information does Primerica Online collect and how do we collect it?

Information that you provide to us
When you register with or use Primerica Online, we may ask you to provide certain personal information, such as your name, social security number or social insurance number, date of birth, telephone number, email address, mailing address, and payment and billing information, your assigned user ID (for example, your Primerica Rep ID or Primerica contractor or employee ID), the password you create during registration, answers to secret questions you select during registration, and any other information by which you may be contacted online or offline.

In addition to the above, the information we collect from you on or in Primerica Online may include information that you voluntarily provide by filling out forms on or in Primerica Online (including at the time of registering to use Primerica Online or requesting further services from us), information that you provide when you report a problem with Primerica Online, records and copies of your correspondence if you contact us, details of transactions you carry out in or on Primerica Online, and your search queries on or in Primerica Online.

We collect this information directly from you if and when you provide it to us.

Information that we collect automatically
In addition, we may automatically collect certain information when you access Primerica Online and as you navigate through and interact with Primerica Online. Information collected automatically may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, the kind and version of your operating system and Internet browser, the date and time of your visit to Primerica Online, the type of device used, the mobile carrier or Internet Service Provider (ISP) used, the pages and resources that you access and use on or in Primerica Online, and other usage details. The technology that we use for such automatic information collection may include cookies and third-party tracking technologies, as described in more detail below.

Cookies (or browser or mobile cookies) are small files placed on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device. We also use the Google Analytics User ID feature in the PRI App for our own usage analysis. This feature permits us to automatically share the internal client ID we have stored for our Primerica representatives (if any) with our Google Analytics platform in order to more accurately match the same representative's use of the PRI App across different devices. This sharing allows us to more accurately determine our user counts for the PRI App.

The information we collect automatically helps us to provide and improve Primerica Online and deliver a better and more customized service and experience. Such information also enables us to help you navigate Primerica Online, track your language preferences, estimate our audience size and usage patterns, track usage of different versions of Primerica Online (e.g., whether used on Apple-branded, Android or other operating systems), speed up your searches and otherwise recognize you when you return to Primerica Online.

How does Primerica use your information?

Primerica uses the information that we collect (including personal information) for legitimate business objectives, as allowed by law, including to:

  • present Primerica Online and its contents to you;
  • respond to your requests related to Primerica Online and your Primerica business and provide services and other information that you request from us. For example, if you update your personal information and payment method on the billing preferences page within the POL Website My Account feature, we will update the provided information for your account;
  • send you notices about your Primerica Online account, including expiration and renewal notices;
  • notify you about updates to Primerica Online and changes to any services we offer or provide through it;
  • facilitate your Primerica business, including providing recognition for your successes and displaying your business activity to users of Primerica Online;
  • contact you about information related to your Primerica business and our own and our third-party partners' products and services that may be of interest to you;
  • evaluate and improve the performance of Primerica Online;
  • personalize and improve your experience when using Primerica Online;
  • detect and prevent fraud or other illegal or prohibited activity;
  • comply with applicable laws and regulatory obligations;
  • carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts between you and us, including for billing purposes;
  • fulfill any other purpose for which you provide such information; and
  • fulfill any other purpose with your consent.

With whom does Primerica share the information we collect?

We may disclose personal information that we collect to the following:

  • our affiliates;
  • Primerica's independent sales representatives;
  • third-party contractors, service providers and consultants that we use to support our business. These third parties are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information that we share with them confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose such information to them;
  • our third-party partners to market their own products and services to you; and
  • a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, reorganization or similar event in which personal information held by Primerica about users of Primerica Online is among the assets transferred.

We may also disclose limited information, including photographs you provide and your name and contact information, to Primerica's clients and potential clients and independent sales representatives to help facilitate your Primerica business.

We may also disclose personal information that we collect to fulfill the purpose for which you provided such information, such as to provide products or services which you request from us, for any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information, and for any other purpose with your consent. Further, we may disclose your personal information to comply with any court order, law or legal process (including to respond to any governmental or regulatory request), to enforce or apply Primerica Online's terms and conditions and any other agreements between you and us, and if we believe that disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property or safety of Primerica, our independent sales representatives, our customers or others.

We may disclose aggregated information about users of Primerica Online, and other information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.

How can you access and change your information?

You can review and change certain of your personal information (such as changing your payment and billing information, password or email address or designating a secondary user ID) by logging into the POL Website and accessing the My Account feature and the My Info feature (My POL > All Apps for Business and Client Management > My Info). You may also change your password for your Primerica Online account by selecting the Forgot Password option when logging into your account.

Please note, however, that we may refuse to accept a change to your personal information if we believe the change would violate any law or our policies or would cause the information to be incorrect.

How does Primerica protect your information?

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure. Unfortunately, however, the transmission of information via the Internet and mobile applications is not completely secure. Unauthorized third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications. Therefore, although we work very hard to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted on or through Primerica Online.

The security of your information also depends on you. A username and password are required for access to Primerica Online, and you are responsible for keeping your password confidential. We strongly urge you not to share your password with anyone.

How is your information protected when visiting a third-party website or application through a link on or in Primerica Online?

As described above, this Privacy Policy addresses only our collection, use and disclosure of information collected by us on or in Primerica Online. Specifically, it does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own, control, employ or manage. Primerica is not responsible or liable for any damage, loss or breach of personal information security caused by your use of the Third-Party Site. Are children under age 18 allowed to use Primerica Online?

No. Primerica Online is not intended for children under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18, and no one under age 18 is authorized to provide any information on or in Primerica Online. If you are under 18, do not use or provide any information on or in Primerica Online, register on Primerica Online, use any of the interactive features of Primerica Online, or otherwise provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number or email address.

For U.S. Residents Only: If we learn that we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe that we might have any information from a child under 13 years old, please contact us.
